Dandelion Tea Oat Vanilla Latte (Printer Friendly)

Caffeine-free latte with dandelion, oat milk, and vanilla. Comforting, vegan, and easy to prepare.

# What You Need:

→ Dandelion Tea

01 - 2 tablespoons roasted dandelion root, loose or in tea bags
02 - 2 cups water

→ Latte Base

03 - 2 cups oat milk, barista-style preferred
04 - 1 tablespoon maple syrup or desired sweetener
05 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
06 - Pinch cinnamon, optional

# How to Make It:

01 - Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add roasted dandelion root or tea bags, reduce heat, and simmer for 5–7 minutes. If using loose root, strain through a fine mesh strainer.
02 - Warm oat milk in a separate saucepan over medium-low heat until steaming, avoiding boiling. Whisk in vanilla extract, maple syrup, and cinnamon, if using.
03 - Froth the oat milk mixture using a milk frother or whisk until foamy.
04 - Divide the dandelion tea between two mugs. Pour the frothed oat milk over each, spooning extra foam onto the surface.
05 - Sprinkle with additional cinnamon if desired. Serve immediately.

02 -
  • I once over-steamed the oat milk and ended up with a scorched flavor—keep the heat low.
  • Straining the loose dandelion root thoroughly makes for a silkier sip, skip if using bags.
03 -
  • Stir vanilla extract in at the end for the most aromatic punch.
  • Brewing dandelion root a few extra minutes intensifies the earthy flavor without bitterness.
